Poker Players Wait for AGCC Hearing Results

It’s no longer a surprise. Former Full Tilt Poker players are starting to lose hope on whether or not they will still be receiving their funds back from Full Tilt which ran out of budget to pay them back. The hearing that occurred on September 19 was not open to the public, so the former poker players of Full Tilt had to wait to get updates. Without regards to the number of former Full Tilt Poker players waiting for a response hoping that they can get back their funds from Full Tilt, neither the Alderney Gaming Control Commission nor Full Tilt gave any clear updates on the matter.

The Ponzi Scheme Issue

A number of people believe that Full Tilt ran a Ponzi Scheme which resulted to the insufficiency in their budget which is responsible for them not being able to pay the players back. This does not look too well for Full Tilt because if the US Department of Justice is convinced that the former poker site giant was indeed cheating its players of millions of dollars worth of funds, the DoJ will be able to seize all Full Tilt Poker’s assets. Whether or not the news is true, it could be the reason why Full Tilt Poker requested that the hearing that was held on September 19 was to be closed to the public.

Full Tilt Poker’s Future

For a moment, Full Tilt Poker felt that it was heading in the right direction for the future. Although the AGCC was criticized for allowing Full Tilt Poker to operate after the Black Friday Incident, Full Tilt Poker was able to look good in front of the AGCC and managed to sound convincing. Turns out, the AGCC might refuse to renew Full Tilt Poker’s license in the future because of the Ponzi Scheme issue that is starting to emerge depending on the US Department of Justice’s decisions. No news have been released as of yet in regards to the former Full Tilt Poker players’ funds.

Players are still eagerly waiting for the news about the release of their funds as the AGCC has booked the conference suite of Riverbank Park Plaza Hotel until Wednesday. Security is tight and no unauthorized people may enter as the hearing is closed to the public. All the players can do is to wait for updates concerning the developments of the issue.
