WPT Foxwoods World Poker Open final table set

There is a lot at stake heading into the final table of the final table of the World Poker Tour Foxwoods World Poker Open today. Not only are the remaining six players looking to lock-up a WPT title, but for one player in particular a win today could lead to even bigger and better things than the nearly $550,000 in first-place prize-money.

Tom “KingsofCards’ Marchese could put quite a bit of distance between himself and the now second-place Dwyte Pilgrim on the Card Player Magazine Player of the Year leader-board. Winning the Card Player POY race will bring a windfall of endorsements and TV opportunities to Marchese.

Marchese will enter the final table with a massive chip lead, holding around 40% of the chips in play. Marchese’s stiffest competition could likely come from the short-stack at the table, Keven Stammen, or another young poker star Mohsin Charania. Both players have well over $2 million in career winnings, and are trying to go from online stars to live poker stars.

Here is a look at the remaining six players at the WPT Foxwoods World Poker Open:

  • Seat 1: Nikolai Yakovenko — 634,000
  • Seat 2: Jeff Forrest — 1,949,000
  • Seat 3: Thomas Marchese — 3,022,000
  • Seat 4: Dave Inselberg — 344,000
  • Seat 5: Keven Stammen — 341,000
  • Seat 6: Mohsin Charania — 1,024,000
