Bad Beat

Bad Beat – noun

A bad beat takes place when a hand that is a statistical favorite to win at any given point (Aces vs. Kings for example) actually loses the pot. When this occurs on any Internet Poker Site, the losing player almost always complains that “online poker is rigged” either in the chat box or to his friends. This is also accompanied by various mumbled phrases that contain words like “fish”, “donkey”, or “*****head”.

This occurence has spawned literally millions of Bad Beat Stories – which no one really wants to hear anyway.

This moron overplays his TPTK on the flop against my pocket Queens and of course hits his friggin Ace on the turn to make two pair. PokerStars is rigged.
