Donkey

Donkey – noun

There’s nothing complimentary about called a Donkey, no matter the context. Being called a Donkey in a poker game is no exception – the term is most often applied to a player that makes terrible decisions yet still wins the hand. It can also describe a player that constantly loses their chips due to bad play and/or tilt.

Donk – verb

The act of losing lots of chips/money in a poker game. Also a variant of the word Donkey, used to describe a bad player (ie, “He’s such a Donk”)

This guy is the biggest Donk I’ve ever seen playing these stakes. He just bled off a few grand playing complete garbage hands out of position, calling bets with no hand and no draw, and bluffing when his opponent had the nuts.
