Europeans Abandon Full Tilt Poker

When the whole Black Friday incident happened, the only silver lining that the poker sites could hold on to was the fact that they still had their international market. In fact, one of the reasons why PokerStars managed to do so well even after they lost their American players was because of their strong international presence. Full Tilt had been lucky in that respect as well because they too had a pretty strong international presence. Absolute Poker was absolutely toast, of course, what with their traffic coming mostly from the States. But UB and Absolute Poker’s fall was something that people saw a mile away, so nobody was really surprised when these companies were unable to deliver anything at all. Players were saddened, sure, but there was no surprise whatsoever. In fact, probably one of the reasons why people are totally biting Full tilt’s head off for the delay is because they actually expected Full Tilt to be on par with PokerStars when it came to serving the customers. To find out that Full Tilt was actually unable to meet these expectations hit players particularly hard.

Unmet Expectations

It’s slightly unfair that Full Til is on the spotlight while people have pretty much forgotten about Absolute Poker. But that’s just how life is, and all the site can do right now is try its best to deal, and it’s doing so by trying to cut a deal with some European investors. Full Tilt will, hopefully, be sold off, and the money gained from the sale will be used to pay back the customers. It would have really helped, however, if they could go a little bit faster with the sales because Full Tilt’s rep is getting battered really badly and players are beginning a mass exodus to other networks. The site has already lost much of its European player base due to several months of inactivity. About 50% of its player base has already jumped ship, mostly to rival poker sites. The deal is only set to be complete this July 26, and even then, it’s surely to be only the beginning of a gargantuan task to resurrect a dead site.

What to Expect

It’s still unknown whether or not Full Tilt will recover from such a big blow such as this. Perhaps it’s high time that people admit to themselves that the site will never regain its former glory. Still, it’s not completely hopeless. Perhaps the investors – whoever they are – will be able to perform a miracle. Full Tilt was a great site before the Black Friday incident hit, and to see it as a casualty of the whole issue would no doubt be incredibly sad. Hopefully, it can recover despite the odds and become what it used to be.

The best option for European players has to now be Titan Poker which is offerring an amazing 200% up to $2000 sign up bonus, zero rake on high stakes tables and an awesome $5,000 reloader bonus.
