Full Tilt Poker adds Tennis Pro James Blake

If you’re a fan of watching guys hit a bouncy yellow ball back and forth with large paddles (also known as Tennis) then you’re likely interested in reading further…

This week Full Tilt Poker announced that they’ve signed Top Ranked Tennis Pro James Blake as a “Friend of Full Tilt”. Similar to deals that they’ve inked with Wayne Gretzky (the hockey great) this is an attempt to cross markets and gain new customers. The tactic has worked in the past – Full Tilt reportedly had an increase of players when they started this program and signed other names such as Bruce Buffer and Don Cheadle. This recent addition brings their total roster of “friends” to over 20 quasi-celebrities.

Being a tennis pro and all, I wonder if James takes a Bad Beatwell, or whether he’ll have a John McEnroe like meltdown?

(Editors Note: Here’s a blast from the past but a very funny article about a Full Tilt “Red” Pro that was signed several years ago)
