Michael Mizrachi sued by Deliverance Poker

Remember the first 20 tournaments of the 2010 WSOP? Me either since ESPN didn’t cover any of them this year with the exception of a few select events. IF you did get the see or play in any of these tournaments you would have witnessed one Michael Mizrachi donning the logos and hat of a company called Deliverance Poker (don’t ask me what they are or what they do because I’m too lazy to Google it – suffice it to say most people know them now BECAUSE of this lawsuit).  UPDATE: So I had to see for myself and aside from the fact that the site starts out looking like the trailer for an upcoming Xbox car-driving game, it STILL features the Mizrachi clan as their “pro players”… Go figure.

So let’s back up a bit because I got ahead of myself. As Michael made his way deep into the WSOP 2010 Main Event he was suddenly spotted wearing Full Tilt Poker colors. So where did this leave the folks from DP? In the cold apparently because they’re now suing Michael for breach of contract since they paid him a six figure signing bonus and paid all or at least part of his entry fees into the WSOP tournaments. He was also given a small stake in the company according to the complaint.

This is late breaking so where this thing finally lands is anyones guess. However, I do find the timing interesting as we head into November Nine territory. That coupled with the fact that he’s still on virtually all of the pages on the site seems odd to me. I’m willing to bet that they’re getting more traffic now than ever before (could this be a grand plan?). Who knows. In the meantime, you can find Mizrachi playing at Full Tilt most of the time. No comment yet from the Full Tilt folks…

Editors Note: I’ll lay 3-1 he’s still playing here by the time the November Nine hits ESPN
