2010 Poker Hall of Fame inductions TBA Tuesday

Poker Hall of FameOn Tuesday the Poker Hall of Fame will announce the two finalists that will be enshrined during the World Series of Poker Final Table celebration. Among the voters are the 16 living members of the Poker Hall of Fame, as well as 17 selected members of the poker media.

With a new voting system, two players will be elected in 2010: Here are the 10 finalists for the 2010 Poker Hall of Fame:

  • Chris Ferguson
  • Barry Greenstein
  • Jennifer Harman
  • Dan Harrington
  • Phil Ivey
  • Linda Johnson
  • Tom McEvoy
  • Daniel Negreanu
  • Scotty Nguyen
  • Erik Seidel

The new system allows each voter to allot 10 points amongst as many players as they choose up to three. For instance, a voter could give all 10 of their points to a single player, or 5 points to two separate players, or 8 points to a player and 1 point each to two other players. Each ballot must add up to 10 points spread amongst one, two, or three of the finalists.

Earlier this week Doyle Brunson wrote on his blog that a majority of his points went to Erik Seidel, who appears to be a lock for enshrinement in the Hall of Fame; we shall see who joins him on the podium tomorrow!
