Confident Tony G Bets on Himself through Matchbook

Things are getting pretty interesting as of late as poker pro Tony G was confident enough to bet on himself at the WSOP Europe that he will be able to make the money through the use of Matchbook.com. Things are getting interesting as earlier this week, James Bord bet on a possible outcome of this year’s WSOPE as well. Big named poker players are somehow betting on outcomes in relation to the WSOPE.

About Matchbook

Matchbook is basically a betting exchange site. While the site was already under operation way back since 2004, it has undergone a change in management earlier this 2011 which granted it even bigger potential in the business. The business model that Matchbook uses is quite attractive to its customers as it offers some of the best odds and lowest commission in the industry. It has a very promising future based on its activities recently as it even added WSOP bracelet betting. Now, bettors can place bets for or against the different poker players participating in the World Series of Poker’s Main Event. The site uses a large network of poker contacts to find the best odds on the wager once the wager makes contact through Skype. For example, Tony G’s bet on himself making it to the top 55 players with the guaranteed cash money will give him the odds of 5/1.

Tony G’s Confidence

The statement was made on his blog and reads: “I am going to win the WSOPE Main Event. First ten minutes, SRAIGHT FLUSH – then massive double up. I am on a roll. I even bet $20,000 at 5/1 that I will make the money in the Main Event – 55th place guarantees me $100k.” Last year’s WSOP Europe Main Event winner, James Bord even commented on the matter, saying “You gotta love Tony – At last someone grew some balls and placed a real bet!” Of course, James Bord also did a little stunt earlier on, betting that the winner of this year’s WSOP Europe will not be from the US. The result was that a lot of Americans were provoked, but Tony G’s case is different since he is only showing confidence. Well, either that, or he’s just hyping himself up for the WSOPE. If ever Tony G really does make it to the top 55 players in this year’s World Series of Poker Europe, he’s in for a treat as he will win his bet on Matchbook.
