Kyle Cartwright Wins WSOPC St. Louis Main Event

For the third time this year Kyle Cartwright, a 23-year-old US poker player, manages to face apart all 449 players entering in the tournament. Kyle Cartwright with his chip count of 2,875,000 under his belt was the chip leader on the final table. This crown made him wealthier by the prize money of $142,290, a bracelet, and a seat at 1 Million WSOPC national championship event, which scheduled to be held in Los Vegas next month.

Final Table Game Play

Nick Jivkov was the first player to flee the final table and reserve 9th spot, prize money of $13,453, and 30 points for National Leaderboard for him. Nick lost to pocket sevens call by Ron Segni. Next in the line was Steve Goff at 8th place, Mitch Franks at 7th place, and Chris Viox slipping to 6th place. Final table saw 4 players setting aside in the just first hour of the final game play.

Now, battle begins among top 5 players of the final table. Next one to go was Troy Weber: a 40-year salesman, who just manages to take home prize money of around $36000. Next one was Segni, and his fourth place in the tournament earned him $47,705.

Soon after, Cartwright holding called Segni but Segni stays behind after a flop of and manages to win $64,249 and third spot in the final tally.

The Heads Up Play

The heads up play could not make it to last longer as expected. In just the matter of few minutes, Kyle Cartwright with his final hand ranking of becomes the winner of WSOPC main event. Boyapati, a Software engineer, take home a whopping prize money $87,927 for his second place in the tournament.

Kyle Cartwright, winner of three crowns in hundred days, told the media after his success that he thinks he has an advantage over others, though not sure, but he has it.

The next stopover of WSOPC 2010-11 is scheduled to be held in Log Vegas next month from April 14th to April 30th. See you there!
