Bellagio Festa Al Lago Poker Tournament Started on September 30

Bellagio’s annual Festa al Lago Tournament started on September 30 with its first event, the $300 + $30 buy in no limit hold’em. The series will be featuring 15 more events including its $5,000 buy in main event which starts on October 11.

Cheaper Buy-ins

The tournament officials have decided on cutting the buy in of the tournaments by half, which will likely result to a bigger number of players to participate in its event. The tournament officials are hoping for an increase in player number while at the same time, generating almost the same amount of prize pool cash compared to last year’s main event, or possibly even bigger. Last year’s first prize amounted to a staggering $831,500 which was won by player Randal Flowers who triumphed over a total of 335 other players during the main event. Should the increase in players total to more than double of last year’s events, you can expect to find a bigger prize pool at the end of the series’ main event. Players will also be able to compete at the main event by qualifying through table satellites at the Fontana Lounge in Bellagio. There are also a number of other tourneys at the series as well.
