Explosive week on PokerStars.net Big Game

Big GameWe finally will be able to witness the PokerStars.net Big Game that Tony G blogged about some weeks ago! You knew there were going to fireworks when they showed the starting stacks for each player, and unlike past episodes where each pro bought in for $100,000, both Daniel Negreanu and David ‘Viffer’ Peat bought in for $200,000, but not to be outdone Tony G bought in for $500,000!

The entire table is one of the more talkative you’ll ever see on a High-Stakes cash game TV or otherwise. Tony G’s blog does indicate that at some point during the week the Poker Brat Phil Hellmuth will join the table.

The ‘Loose Cannon’ this week is Elizabeth Houston, who was staked $100,000 as an online qualifier, and listed Tony G as her favorite poker player. The lineup for the week includes:

  • Daniel Negreanu — $200,000
  • William Reynolds — $100,000
  • David ‘Viffer’ Peat — $200,000
  • Joe Hachem — $100,000
  • Tony G — $500,000

The first episode saw the ‘Loose Cannon’ go up $18,000 thanks to pocket Aces. But the real story was the comedy show playing out between Willam Reynolds –who threw out the cheesiest pick-up line f all-time—David ‘Viffer’ Peat –who actually used a pick-up line on the Loose Cannon—and Tony G who was his usual self –my favorite G-line of the evening was calling his ¼ pot bet a “Friendship Builder”.

The week’s episodes will air in 5 Parts, and can be viewed on www.thebiggame.pokerstars.net
