Maria Ho Scores the Highest Winnings ever for a Woman at the WSOP

Things are looking good for Maria Ho who presently has the highest score for a woman due to her excellent performance in this year’s WSOP. Maria Ho has earned a total of more than a million dollars playing live tournaments and with this year’s achievement in the WSOP; she’s on an unstoppable roll.

Right before the event of the WSOP, Maria Ho has been playing around in some major events and managed to come up to three final tables in the tournaments. Of course, with that in mind, Maria Ho was hyped to enter the WSOP, thus performing well in it.

Barely Missed the Bracelet

Maria Ho has been pretty busy lately with all the cash games, the endorsement deals, and not to mention she was a contestant on The Amazing Race’s 15th season as well. Maria Ho has been playing poker for just over 6 years now and she’s been doing great so far. Of course, things even turn for the better at this year’s WSOP for her. At the World Series of Poker, with some nice plays and decisions she has won a total of $540,020 which is currently the biggest winning for women in the tournament. She was so close to getting a bracelet for this year, but still, things looked so good for her in the tournament earning a second place and just a bit more than half a million dollars in her pocket.

Her Amazing Race Buddies

Of course, it isn’t all about just poker for Maria. As Mentioned earlier, Maria Ho was a contestant of The Amazing Race season 15 and although she was eliminated from the race, she maintained a lasting relationship with a number of her fellow contestants from the show. They even got Japanese symbol tattoos as evidence of their friendship right after the show ended. Also, when fellow contestants Meghan and Cheyne got married, they were all present at the wedding party.

Maria Ho almost made it to the bracelet, which is already an achievement worthy of praise. But there are a lot of runner ups in the WSOP that are quickly forgotten. Will this be the case for this year’s runner up, Maria Ho? Not likely. She’s on fire and has been doing great so far. She’s been playing for a little more over than 6 years now and things will more likely go bette for her in the future.
