PokerStars announces regional COOP tournament series

PokerStarsFor all of you online players who don’t feel like waiting for the next World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) at PokerStars, the popular online poker room has just announced the creation of the Regional COOP; a slightly smaller version of the WCOOP where players will compete against people from their region of the world.

The tournaments are open to players from the specific regions only, with separate regional COOP series taking place for other parts of the world as well. Poker players in a total of 13 regions will be able to participate in the so called RCOOP tournaments including Alpine, Benelux, America, Canada, Nordics, Baltics, UK & Ireland, Russian Open, Central & Eastern Europe, Asia Pacific, Iberia, Latin America and Mediterranean. Each region will host their own RCOOP tournaments, with individual schedules and Main Events –to see the tournament schedule for your region you can visit PokerStars.com.

For your regional schedule you can head to PokerStars.com, or check your inbox for a message from Events at PokerStars, which will detail your regional schedule.
In addition to massive prize-pools PokerStars will also award a prize package for the person named Player of the Series –the award for the US COOP is a PokerStars.net North American Poker Tour (NAPT) prize package.
